Is autism the next step in brain evolution?

Autism could be the next step in brain evolution. Yet this idea rarely appears in official research. Autism is also more common among parents in technology fields - perhaps that’s not coincidence.

Autistic traits look less like flaws and more like advantages:

  • Strong focus and attention to detail
  • Integrity, honesty, and loyalty
  • Excellent memory and goal orientation
  • Preference for clear, direct communication

Autistic people communicate easily with each other but often struggle with allistics who depend more on nonverbal cues.

My company recently joined a "Bike or Walk for Autism Research" event aimed at finding a cure. But what if autism isn’t an illness?
Maybe the real question is: how can allistics learn to communicate with autistics?
